"Baryon-Dark Matter Interactions"
ABSTRACT
I will discuss recent progress in using astrophysical
observations to constrain the dark matter - baryon scattering cross
section on different energy scales. Big Bang nucleosynthesis constrains
baryon-dark matter interactions only very weakly, but observations of the
gamma-ray background provide tight constraints at high energies. I will
conclude by commenting on the potential importance of such interactions
for damping small scale structure in CDM models.
