Predictions of Cold Dark Matter models on small scales: current status and future tests

ABSTRACT

The distribution and kinematics of stars in the halo of the Milky Way can be used as tracers of the gravitational potential around the Galaxy. Recent results from imaging and spectroscopy of blue stars which probe to distances of about 50 kpc from the Galactic center are presented.
